Troy women’s hoops opens season Friday at Auburn
TROY, Ala. (troytrojans.com) – The Troy women’s basketball team opens the 2016-17 regular season on the road against Auburn on Friday; tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
The game be broadcast on WTBF 970 AM, live stats can be found on TroyTrojans.com and the game will also be streamed online on SEC Network+ (WatchESPN).
The Trojans, reigning Sun Belt Conference Tournament champions, look to win at Auburn for the first time ever. The Tigers have claimed the last 15 meetings in the series. Auburn finished last season with a 20-13 record and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Seven seniors return for Troy including Preseason All-Sun Belt selections Caitlyn Ramirez and ArJae’ Saunders. The Trojans were picked to repeat as champions by the league’s coaches in the preseason poll.
