Former NFL Player Gives Back for Thanksgiving

Former NFL player Cornelius Griffin and his family are giving back to those in need, in Pike County, just in time for Thanksgiving.

The family spent the day in Brundidge serving Thanksgiving dinner to people living in the area. Cornelius started the tradition 16 years ago as a thank you to the community supporting him in the big league. Since then it has grown serving between  600 to 650 people. People were served at Brundidge station. Volunteers also delivered dinners to those that weren’t able to attend.

“It’s a special moment, that time of year where you give thanks to your family and friends and to God and after playing football, God has blessed me to do tremendous things here in Pike County and I look forward to doing it every year.”

Everything provide for Cornelius’ Thanksgiving dinner was donated from people in the community and local churches.
