Salvation Army Serves Thanksgiving to Community
The Salvation Army continued their efforts in giving back to the community with their annual thanksgiving lunch Thursday.
Dozens of people stopped by Montgomery’s Salavation Army for Thanksgiving lunch, along with resident’s already at the center. Coordinators were prepared to serve between 400 and 500 meals. There were also plenty of people volunteering their time to serve from individuals to church organizations.
“I just have a passion for people. the love for people and i just love to give back me and my family,” says volunteer Talisha Gadsden.
“There’s just a variety of people who just want to come and help. they want to help people understand that there are people in this city that care about them,” says Maj. Walter Strong of Montgomery’s Salvation Army.
Volunteers from Montgomery’s Salvation Army also delivered meals Thursday to those in need for Thanksgiving.
