Troy’s Adopt-A-Resident Program Efforts to Make Christmas Bright for Residents

Troy Health and Rehabilitation Center needs your help to make Christmas special for residents.

The center is taking donations right now for it’s Adopt-A-Resident program until Monday, December 12th.  There are over 130 residents at the center. Workers say they are hoping to receive gifts for each resident. They say clothing and toiletries rank high on most of the resident’s wish lists.

“Most of the people that do adopt a resident, they are nameless so we put it’s from Santa. The residents enjoy getting those gifts and seeing something from someone they didn’t know, knowing that they care,” says Jeanette Dawkins of  Troy Health and Rehabilitation.

F you’re interested in donating, you can contact the center at (334) 566-0880.
