Bell Ringers Needed for Pike County’s Salvation Army

Pike County’s Salvation Army still needs your help ringing in the season with its Red Kettle Campaign.

This is their biggest fundraiser of the year. Last year, the organization raised $44,000 with its Red Kettle Campaign to help fund programs for 2016. One of those programs is the Angel Tree program that provides hundreds of area children with toys.  Coordinators say their numbers are down this year but with the help of more bell ringers they could help bring in more funds.

“This year-the same time, same day we’re down about $1,600  from last year. i just hope that trend doesn’t continue,” says Kim May, director of Pike County’s Salvation Army.
