Special Grand Jury to Investigate Shannon Paulk Case

It was a case that garnered national attention, and now a special grand jury is being put together to look for new information in the Shannon Paulk case.

11-year-old Shannon Paulk was abducted from her mobile home community in August of 2001. Her body was found two months later, and her killer has never been caught.

Prattville Police Chief Mark Thompson tells Alabama News Network there are no new suspects in the case. But the grand jury will review facts and evidence to see if there are any new witnesses and avenues to lead to answers as to who killed Shannon.

Thompson says even this many years later, law enforcement are doing whatever they can to solve the case.
