“A Living Hope” Update: Adair on Hospice Care
We have been following the story of Rhonda Adair, a Millbrook mom battling cancer, since her diagnosis.
Rhonda Adair has decided to go under hospice care.
She is now back home after getting treatment at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Texas.
Doctors say they have done all they can do and last month, just gave her weeks to live.
Adair’s Facebook page, “A Living Hope,” continues to grow, with now more than 21 thousand members.
Her sister tells us by phone that although her body is failing, her heart still wants to fight. She is a mom to a 4 year old and 3 month old.
Despite the grim prognosis, Rhonda continues to be an inspiration throughout her fight.
“She always says I’m so in over my head that I don’t even have the luxury of getting angry or sad or worried about the future… I know the God who has held me all of my life, will hold my babies and will hold this world after I am not here. So she is amazing to watch. I can’t begin to describe how sweet and how brave she is handling everything,” said Robyn Baker.
Rhonda’s birthday is Thursday. And that also happens to be the day one of her sisters is scheduled to have her baby.
She is hoping she will be able to meet her new nephew on her birthday.
