Danielle Wallace

Troy Newsroom Reporter

Danielle Wallace is a reporter in the Troy Newsroom, covering Pike and Bullock Counties. Prior to joining the team at Alabama News Network, she was a reporter for WTVY in Dothan, Alabama. She served the Wiregrass area as a reporter and web producer, when beginning her career in journalism.
Danielle is from Atmore, Alabama but she’s no stranger to the Pike County area. She is a proud 2012 Troy University alumna of the Hall School of Journalism and Communication. She’s excited to be back to share stories with the community.
Outside of the newsroom, Danielle is a writer. She made her mark in the self-publishing world in December 2011 with her book, “Her Poetic Cinema of Life,” a collection of poetry. To share her love for writing, she spends time with area youth teaching creative writing classes. Teaching at Girls Inc. of Dothan in the summer of 2014, sparked her idea to branch out to others with a mission to highlight the importance of literacy.  Danielle also serves as the founder for her site “Memoirs of a Virtuous Woman,” an online ministry that has reached hundreds of young women with articles, interviews and its app for daily encouragement.
When she’s not being creative, Danielle enjoys church, a good book and continuing her efforts as a mentor and speaker for area youth.
Danielle always enjoys a good story. If you have story ideas, email her.
