Kimberly Hyde

Kimberly Hyde joined Alabama News Network in October 2017 as the South Alabama Newsroom reporter, based in Greenville.

A native Alabamian, Kimberly was born in Birmingham and grew up in Prattville.

Prior to joining the Alabama News Network team, Kimberly worked as a Multimedia Journalist for WTVY in Dothan, Alabama. Previously, she served as an intern for Carolina Connection, a television magazine show airing on WSOC in Charlotte, NC.

Before breaking into the news business, Kimberly spent twelve years working for NASCAR as marketing manager.  She traveled on the NASCAR circuit handling various media relations duties for NASCAR, its drivers, teams and sponsors.

Kimberly is a proud graduate of Auburn University (War Eagle!), where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio, Television & Film.  She also holds a certificate in Digital Media Technology from Carolina School of Broadcasting.

In her spare time, Kimberly enjoys working out, exploring the outdoors, watching sports, cooking and cheering on her Auburn Tigers!  Kimberly is excited to meet people in the South Alabama region and tell their stories.  Have an interesting story idea?  Email her at khyde@alabamanews.net
