Event Description

The National Center for the Study of Civil Rights and African-American Culture at Alabama State University will host the annual Ralph D. Abernathy Civil Rights Lecture Series: A Celebration of the 58th Anniversary of the Montgomery Bus Boycott on Monday, December 2, 2013.

The event will take place at the J. Garrick Hardy Student Services Center Ballroom on the campus of Alabama State University at 7 p.m.

This year’s theme is “The Montgomery Bus Boycott: Creating a New Vision in America.”

The guest speaker for the program will be the Rev. James Lawson, Pastor Emeritus; Holman United Methodist Church; Los Angeles, California.

This event is free and open to the public.
