Drug Could Prolong Lives of Cancer Patients

The drug erlotinib may help prolong the lives of patients with cervical cancer.

In a small trial, researchers gave 36 patients the drugs combined with chemo-radiation.

After three years, 80 percent were still alive and 73 percent had no disease progression. Researchers say larger studies are needed.
