Weight-Loss Surgery Could Put Future Pregnancies at Risk

Women who have weight-loss surgery have an increased risk of giving birth to premature and low weight babies.

That's according to Swedish researchers who studied 2,500 babies who were delivered by women who had weight-loss surgery. 

The study found that more than 5 percent of those babies were small for their gestational age, and almost 10 percent were premature.
