Bullock Co. High School Principal Fired
The Bullock County School Board has voted to fire Bullock County High School Principal Undrea Johnson.
Three board members voted for the termination and one abstained at the special called meeting Wednesday night .The superintendent says he was terminated on grounds of "neglect of duty and incompetence."
Johnson was placed on leave during an investigation into how he disciplines students. Johnson, his attorneys and the board had met to try to discuss a separation agreement. Johnson nor his attorney were at the meeting.
Bullock County Schools Superintendent Keith Stewart said, "Out of respect for Mr. Johnson and the appeal process, I would not like to comment on this any further because of the fact that first I would like to notify Mr. Johnson in writing."
School board officials say Johnson will get written notice of the termination, which he can appeal within 15 days.
