Maxwell Airmen Help Clean Up Schools

By Sarah Cantey

Ninety-six officers in training at Maxwell Air Force spent their Saturday not only serving our country, but the Montgomery community.

It was part of their community service project as the Maxwell airmen move through their 10-week officer training. They spent Saturday doing landscaping and clean up at the four schools in the Brewbaker Complex.
While the airmen were not cleared to speak on camera, school staff had no problem raving about their professionalism and job well done.
Principal Brewbaker Middle School Cameron Whitlow said, "One thing the military believes in is god, country, and then family and self and this is an opportunity for them to put their country first by serving us. Just the support we've received from them is awesome."
The project is part of the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce's annual School Clean-up Project.
