Prattville Brings Creekwalk Concert Series To Downtown
The city of Prattville is bringing more nightlife to its downtown. We were the first station to bring you the announcement as city leaders hope the concerts not only bring people to downtown, but also business.
The city of Prattville is starting its Creekwalk Concert series. The point is to bring more people here to downtown on the week nights instead of having them leave to spend their nightlife elsewhere, but the project is about more than music -- it's about money.
You see it in Montgomery: Second Saturday -- a free family friendly event with live music. But now Prattville will have its own music event.
It's called the Creek Walk Concert Series -- the concerts will be held behind the Quality Comix store between 7 and 8:30 every other Tuesday night until the end of August. The first concert is next Tuesday June 24 with live bands from country, bluegrass and pop.
The concerts are free. Goat Hill String Band will come out to play starting at 7 p.m. on June 24.
As for the other bands playing in the series, the city has not released who they will be. They say they'll announce each band two weeks prior to the concert.
