Soaring Paws Helps In Pike Co. Animal Rescue Efforts
A handful of dogs left Troy today on the ride of their lives, to save their lives. All thanks to a non-profit organization from hundreds of miles away.
Albert Adams started the non profit "Soaring Paws" about a year ago. They transport animals from kill shelters in rural areas to rescues mainly based out of Florida. Today, six dogs were rescued from Pike and Monroe Counties and flown to Tampa.
This comes at no cost to the rescuers and is funded by the community's generosity.
Founder and Chief Pilot Soaring Paws Albert Adams said, "The message is really spay and neuter these animals because rural shelters all around the United States are just swamped with dogs they cant handle and cats as well. SO instead of taking the life of a beautiful animal like this. There's a loving home that wants them. That's why we do this."
Soaring Paws estimates they've saved closed to 500 animals so far. For more information visit soaringpaws.com
