Thousands Attend Montgomery's Color Vibe 5K
Nearly 3,000 people made a gloomy Saturday full of color.
The first ever nationwide Color Vibe 5K run and walk came to Montgomery. This isn't your typical race, there's no timer, winner or loser. And it also ended with a dance party. Family Promise of Montgomery was the partner charity, getting a portion of each registration.
Churches help families, with things like transportation to job interviews and providing a place to stay.
Charletta Deeds, helped by Family Promise said, "It's helping me get back on my feet, get me organized where I know I have to have a budget plan. I know how much I can spend a month for my bills and stuff like that."
Thousands of packets of color were thrown out. It is actually all natural, made out of corn starch and dye.
