From Crenshaw County -- exclusive information and video -- as authorities search for the person who shot and killed a man in Highland Home. They have a person in custody. Alabama News Network was the only news station on the scene when investigators searched his home.

District Attorney, Charlotte Tesmer, says a man named Vincent Lowe drove by two men who were fixing their trucks. That's when they had an exchange of words with each other, but that lead to one of those people being shot and left for dead.

You're looking at exclusive video of Crenshaw County deputies and ABI agents searching this home for evidence. This comes after investigators say Vincent Lowe was taken into custody by Butler County deputies after allegedly shooting Albert Lee in the head.

Crenshaw County investigator, Mike Johnson, was one of the first on the scene...

"The male subject that was laying in the puddle of blood, like I said, he had cuts and bruises abrasions to his facial area," Said Johnson.

The injuries were so severe, Lee's skull was shattered by the gunshots. Investigators say he was shot twice in the head.

"Lying in a puddle of blood, there were witnesses, eye-witnesses were questioned," Said Johnson.

But District Attorney, Charlotte Tesmer, says Lee was not by himself. She says another person witnessed the shooting.

"That indivdual saw the defendant drive up and heard the words of exchange and heard a guns shot. At that time, he ran and went up into the woods and eventually went up to his home and notified people what had happened," Said Tesmer.

The DA's office says evidence shows there's a possibility that other people were involved in this shooting, but that's still under investigation.

Vincent Lowe is currently being questioned. But charges have not been filed.
