Death Row Inmate Found Unresponsive in Cell

By Alabama News Network

Department of Corrections officials say a death row inmate has died at a prison in south Alabama.

Corrections spokeswoman Kristi Gates says 27-year-old Justin Hosch was pronounced dead in his cell Monday at the Holman Correctional Facility. Gates says the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences is performing Hosch's autopsy and the man died of an apparent suicide.

Hosch was sentence to death out of Autauga County on an October 2010 capital murder conviction.
