Tuskegee Mayor Johnny Ford to Run for State Office?

Tuskegee mayor Johnny Ford says he is considering another run for state office.

Ford says if current state senator Billy Beasley runs for governor, he will run for Beasley's seat.

If Beasley does not run for governor, Ford says he will run for Secretary of State, since that office addresses voting.

You may remember Ford was a Democratic state representative who switched to the Republican party in 2003. But he later left that party to become a Democrat again.

Ford say he will make his decision by the Democratic qualifying deadline in February.
