CBS 8 is on your side with a consumer alert. Volkswagen is temporarily halting sales of about 25-thousand cars because of a fire risk.
The affected vehical includes current models of the Jetta, Beetle, Bettle Convertable and Passat. Volkswagen said a faulty O-ring can cause transmission fluid to leak and could start a fire risk.
The Automaker says no fires or crashes have been reported. Owners of Affected vehicles will be notified and Volkswagen will replace the part for free. The company is working with the national highway traffic safety administration on issuing a recall.
