Flood Damage Still Evident In Covington County
By Amanda Wade

Recent flooding is still evident in Covington County. Road damage is in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

FEMA visited Covington County and assessed damage that hit the area last month. Engineers say it will cost nearly $800,000 to repair the roads. Covington County was declared a disaster area from all the flooding.

To make matters worse, the county received close to 10 inches of rain less than two weeks ago creating road destruction havoc, "We're working on a site right now just north of River Falls. That's one site that had a lot of damage to it, over $20,000," says Covington County's assistant engineer, Lynn Ralls.

Covington County is waiting for FEMA funding to help fix the roads.
T.T. Clark Road and Glen Chambers Road are still closed.
