Montgomery Co. Sheriff's Department Searching for Purse Thief

The Montgomery County Sherriff’s Department needs your help finding a suspect who stole a purse from a parked car.

On Sunday, August 17, around 2:45 p.m., an unknown male drove into a parking space of the Entec on Wetumpka Highway in Montgomery. As the subject was exiting his vehicle, he noticed a purse lying in the passenger seat of the vehicle he parked next to.

He opened the unlocked door, took the purse, and drove off. He was last seen leaving in a 4 door older model white sedan.

The victim reported that her credit cards, that were stolen, were used in Wetumpka at the Murphy Oil Gas Station a couple of hours later.
