Bullock Co. Schools Working To Prevent Tragedy
After the suicide of a Bullock County middle schooler, administrators are taking action to hopefully prevent more tragedy.
Ka'shaad Hurts committed suicide February of this year. He was 13 years old and went to South Highlands Middle School.
Bullock County Superintendent Keith Stewart says city and county leaders have been supportive after this recent tragedy and they are taking a closer look at their bullying and suicide prevention programs. City and county leaders have helped the school system come up with funding to bring in consultants.
Consultants will be in Bullock County schools all day this coming Monday for a bullying and suicide prevention workshop. They will work hands on with students and faculty.
