Two Sex Offender Arrests In One Week

 CBS 8 and ABC Montgomery are Taking Action Against Crime in Troy, where police arrest two registered sex offenders in one week for living too close to a school or daycare. 

Roger Morris and Michael Parham were arrested by Troy Police.
Police say in separate cases they were arrested for living within 2000 feet of a school or daycare. Due to the number of child care centers in Troy, there are not many places for sex offenders to live. 
That's why out of 72 sex offenders in Pike County, 62 live out of the Troy city limits. 
Sex offenders must update their information every 90 days and investigators say during a recent house check close to 10 percent were not complying with sex offender requirements. 
Pike Co. Investigator Troy Johnson said, "If you have children they can move next door to you. But if it's a licensed daycare that there's things in the law that prevent them from moving that area. You need to stay on top of it to find out who your neighbors are to find out about them."
