Fans Expect Close Iron Bowl
It’s not every year that so much rides on the result of the Iron Bowl.
Fans can’t wait to see which team will get a ticket to the SEC championship.
Whether you’re yelling Roll Tide or War Eagle, there’s plenty of excitement heading into tomorrow’s Iron Bowl.
Tents are popping up all over Auburn’s campus, and there’s food on every corner.
While fans can’t agree on who will win, everyone thinks it’s going to be close.
“31-28,” said one Auburn fan.
“I will say we’ll cover the spread, being 10, 11. Absolutely. I don’t have any doubt. It’ll be much closer than the critics are expecting,” said Collin Varner, an Auburn student.
“28-17 Bama,” said a young Bama fan.
“We talked about that earlier. I’m going to say 21-17,” said Bama fan Chad Donahoo.
Auburn Tigers and fans of the Crimson Tide are both surprised with how big this game has become this year, especially after Auburn didn’t win a single SEC game last year.
“It’s humbling coming off the national championship had a few years that were alright, but after a year like last year you definitely don’t expect something like this,” said Auburn student Debo Crew.
“I definitely think they should be ranked high because strength of schedule goes a long way. But all we’ve got to do is play defense and I think we’ll have a pretty good ball game,” said Bama fan Bailey Dempsey.
“It’s going to be a great game. We’re going to beat down on Bama tomorrow. Dee Ford be racking up them sacks,” said Hudson Reynolds, an avid tiger fan.
“I think we have the best coach. And the best players. It’s went as expected. We didn’t expect Auburn to be this good at the end of the season,” said Donahoo.
