Foodborne Infections Still Health Concern

The latest food safety report card from the Centers for Disease Control shows foodborne infections are still an important public health problem.

While salmonella food poisoning decreased nine percent last year, numbers show other foodborne infections linked to dairy products, chicken and shellfish are spiking.

Infections linked to eating raw shellfish were also at the highest level since tracking started almost 20 years ago.
