Auburn’s Robinson goes second overall to Rams in NFL Draft

ST. LOUIS (AP) – The St. Louis Rams addressed need with the second overall pick of the NFL draft, taking Auburn offensive tackle Greg Robinson.
The 6-foot-5, 332-pound Robinson was a force at left tackle last year, starting every game for the national runner-ups. He could start at left tackle to begin the season if Jake Long isn’t ready to go after offseason knee surgery.
The pick was the final payout from the Robert Griffin III deal with the Redskins in 2012. They also held the 13th pick.
The last time the Rams went for an offensive lineman at the top of the draft, they struck it big. Orlando Pace was the first overall pick in 1997 and was a seven-time Pro Bowler.
