Babies Around the World Born at Similar Sizes

A new study finds newborns around the world are surprisingly similar in size as long as they are born to mothers who are healthy, educated and who had good prenatal care.

University of Oxford researchers monitored 60-thousand pregnancies worldwide.

They found poor nutrition and health, not race or ethnicity, cause most of the disparities in newborn size.
