Some Alabamians may have a threat looming over their income tax refund checks, according to Alabama Revenue Commissioner Julie Magee.

She says 15,000 Alabamians have been sent a letter requesting they fill out a security questionnaire.    Magee says a recent leak of personal information from TurboTax has put many of these people at risk for having their identities stolen and have false tax returns filed in their names.

Magee says if you receive a letter from her department, you need to call or go online as soon as possible to answer your questionnaire about your personal history before your tax return can be processed.
