From the West Alabama Newsroom–  A popular summer program in Selma offers a fun and safe summer activity for area children that instills confidence and encourages creativity.

The first session of Art Camp 2015 in Selma is underway this week. Classes are taught by accomplished artists who live in the community.

Each camper will complete and take home — about seven projects from the camp.

“We let them look at a lot of different things so that if they’re not interested as much in one thing or they don’t know they’re interested in something they may get exposed to it and find out they like that better,” said Camp Director Candi Duncan.

There are still slots available for the second session of Art Camp coming up in July but space is limited.
