I joined Alabama News Network as a meteorologist in June 2015. I’m from the small town of Kennesaw, Georgia, which is just north of Atlanta. I grew up seeing all types of interesting weather, from snow storms to tornadoes. That helped me decide to make weather my career. I enjoy severe weather with hail, lightning and tornadoes. I have been storm chasing in the Midwest plains. So I enjoy going out into the field when severe weather is happening. I graduated from Mississippi State University with with a degree in Geosciences/Broadcast Meteorology. I was involved with the National Weather Service chapter at MSU. I was also a part of an improv comedy troupe. So I enjoy theatre and being on stage in addition to forecasting the weather. I have interned at 11Alive in Atlanta. I am excited to be in Alabama and to see what it holds, whether I’m covering the weather inside the station or am in the field for live shots.
