Auburn QB Jeremy Johnson volunteering, working out during time off
Montgomery, AL – Auburn Quarterback Jeremy Johnson volunteered at his high school alma mater, Carver High School, Saturday for the first annual Billy Gresham Youth Football Camp.
“Its always great coming back and letting the kids see your face, like I said we are a big influence and part of their life, and just being around the kids.. making them happy is one of the things I like to do in life,” the former Carver Wolverine said.
Johnson is enjoying his time off before the Tigers start fall camp.
“We are off this week before we report on the third. I’m still going to workout, but I’m just ready for the season. I’ve never been so ready to play football, I’m just ready to get back out there with my teammates,” Johnson said.
Johnson has gained about 30 pounds since he graudated from Carver. “I’ve put on about ten pounds each year since high school, but it’s weight in a good way,” he said.
Auburn starts fall practice on August 4th. “I will be working out at Carver during my time off,” Johnson said.
