Disaster Loan Outreach Centers in Alabama to Close Soon

elmorecofloodingThe U.S. Small Business Administration is closing the four Disaster Loan Outreach Centers that opened following major flooding last year around Alabama.

Flooding victims have until 3 p.m. Thursday, February 4 to access the centers.

Officials say the centers are closing due to decrease in activity. The centers were set up in four counties, including Montgomery County, following flooding that occurred on December 23-31, 2015.

Victims can still apply online or contact the SBA Customer Service Center for help at 1-800-659-2955. The number to call for the deaf and hard-of-hearing is 1-800-877-8339.

Applicants may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application via SBA’s website .

The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is March 15, 2016. The deadline to return economic injury applications is October 17, 2016.
