Selma Man Arrested, Charged With Stealing Police Car

A Selma man has been arrested for allegedly stealing an unmarked police car.
Selma police responded to an accident at the intersection of Highway 41 and Highway 80E on February 1st. After running the tag, officers discovered it belonged to the Selma Police Department. A driver involved in the accident said that the driver of the unmarked police car had walked away towards Roosevelt Avenue.
Police picked up Curtis Craig, 29, near the Dollar General and took him back to the scene of the accident. The driver identified Craig as the driver of the unmarked police unit. Craig has been charged with Theft of Property 1st and given no bond. The case is still under investigation by detectives.
