Demopolis Student in Custody for Gun Possession at School

gun-in-backpack.jpgFriday, April 1st, Demopolis Police Department School Resource Officers responded to a call of a student in possession of a gun at school.

DPD School Resource Officers and Demopolis City School Officials were able to take possession of a .38 Caliber handgun and take the student into custody.

The juvenile student has been charged with Possession of a Deadly Weapon on School Grounds and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. The juvenile has been turned over to the Marengo County Juvenile Probation Office for Prosecution.

No further information will be given on this case due to the fact that a minor committed the crime.
