henryState Rep. Ed Henry (R – Hartselle) held a State House news conference on Tuesday, April 5, in order to discuss Articles of Impeachment he plans to file against Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley.

The news conference took place at 12:30 pm in the third floor press briefing room of the Alabama State House, which is located at 11 South Union Street in Montgomery.

Rep. Henry began the press Conference saying that the impeachment process starts today and Governor Bentley betrayed the trust of people of Alabama.

“If the governor loves people of the state, he will step down, if not we will move to impeach him,” Henry said. Henry is calling for the impeachment of Gov. Bentley on the grounds of incompetence.

Rep. Henry wants an up or down vote but the impeachment bill will be sent to the House Rules Committee for consideration. Rep. Henry says he will take his time to make sure he has support and it could be voted on Tuesday, April 12.
