Yokohama helping Elba flood victims, Japan quake survivors

PRATTVILLE, Ala. (rtjresorts.com) –Yokohama Tire Corporation (YTC), in coordination with the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail (RTJ) and the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) are collecting funds to help families in flood-ravaged Elba, Alabama as well as earthquake victims in Kumamoto, Japan.

Yokohama is donating $5,000 to the flood recovery in Elba and has already sent emergency funds to Kumamoto. Yokohama is also setting up donation boxes at its booth and other areas at the Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic in Prattville, Alabama, which runs through the weekend.

“We are very close to the people of Alabama and are glad we can help families get their lives back to normal in Elba,” said Hideto Katsuragawa, CEO of Yokohama Corporation of North America (YCNA) and CEO of YTC. We are also doing the same for the city of Kumamoto, which suffered a devastating earthquake recently. We thank the patrons coming to the Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic for their generous support in helping the disaster victims recover.”
