A Montgomery County jury found Rodricko Davis not guilty on capital murder charges in connection with Keon Sankey’s death.

Davis and Elijah Frazier had been accused of fatally shooting Sankey in Montgomery in November 2013. Frazier’s case is pending trial.

During Davis’s trial, both defending and prosecuting attorneys stated that Davis was not the trigger man, but prosecutors argued that Davis was complicit in the killing and had tried to shoot Sankey, but his gun didn’t fire.

Davis’ attorney, Clay Benson, says his client is looking forward to spending time with family after having been held without bond for more than two years.
