Crenshaw Co. Man Killed in Single Car Crash

lakia tree crashA single-vehicle crash at 6:15 p.m. Sunday, June 5, has claimed the life of a Glenwood man.

Paul Douglas Pope, 67, was killed when the 1985 Ford F-150 pickup he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Pope, who was not using a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred on Coffee County 306 eight miles north of Zion Chapel.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
