Hot & Humid Week
HOT & HUMID WEEK OF WEATHER: Each day this week we are going to see afternoon temperatures in the 90s, while overnight lows will be in the 70s. Humidity levels are high, and when you factor those in with those hot temperatures, heat index values will be at or 100° at times. The only heat relief this week will come in the form of those scattered afternoon and evening showers and storms. Severe weather is not expected, but with storms that develop, you can expect lots of lightning, gusty winds, small hail, and intense rainfall. The main time frame for thunderstorm activity will come from about 2PM-8PM each day. Though these will develop each day, not everyone will see the rain.
WEEKEND HEAT RELIEF: Good news as we head towards the weekend; a change in the weather pattern will allow for a slightly cooler and drier air mass to settle into the state. For Saturday and Sunday, at this time, our rain chances go away, and afternoon highs will be back in the upper 80s, while overnight lows slip back down into the soothing 60s. Humidity levels will be lower as well.
