Teen Arrested for DUI and Driving 116 MPH Down U.S. 231

100_2839Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is giving credit to two state troopers who likely saved lives Wednesday night.

Corporal Drew Brooks and Senior trooper Justin Vann pulled over a motorist going 116 miles per hour down U.S 231. This is according to a post made on ALEA’s Facebook page.

They found 19-year old Wyatt Craig Bishop with a blood alcohol content of 0.14

He was placed in the Pike County Jail.

Speeding and DUI’s are the top contributing factors in traffic fatalities. Troopers have worked 308 traffic fatalities this year. That’s more than 85 more deaths for the same time period as last year.
