Woman Shot, Killed in Car Traveling on Interstate
A Georgia woman was shot and killed in a moving car traveling on Interstate 85 in Alabama.
Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones says investigators are trying to piece together what happened in the early Monday morning shooting.
Authorities were initially called to an accident involving a car and an 18-wheeler in Lee County in Alabama. However, Jones said they discovered a female passenger in the car had been shot and killed. Jones said deputies were told that after the firearm discharged, there was a struggle in the backseat and a passenger with a gun jumped from the moving car.
Jones said the man was apprehended in Valley and identified as 21-year-old Larry Bradford Moore.
Jones said everyone in the car was from the Atlanta area. Authorities have not released the victim’s name.
