Trojan football enters second week of camp & two-a-days
TROY, Ala. (troytrojans.com) – Following a rest day on Sunday, the Troy football team returned to the practice fields behind Trojan Arena Monday morning for the first of two practices on the day.
The Trojans worked out in shells for just over 90 minutes as they finalized basic installation of the offense and defense. The practice, which also included some extra special teams work, ended with the offense and defense squaring off in a two-minute drill.
The Trojans will practice again at 8 p.m. in Veterans Memorial Stadium to wrap up the first of three two-a-day practice sessions this camp.
Fans will have a chance to get their first true look of the team on Saturday when they scrimmage inside Veterans Memorial Stadium beginning at 11 a.m.
Troy opens the 2016 season on Sept. 3 when it plays host to Austin Peay in the first of six home games in Veterans Memorial Stadium.
