Trojans slog through rain soaked two a days
TROY, Ala. (troytrojans.com) – Pressure situations for the special teams and a heavy dose of team periods were on tap for the Troy football team Thursday morning in the first of two practices on the day. The Trojans worked out for over two hours on the turf inside Veterans Memorial Stadium with the majority of the practice taking place during moderate to heavy rain storms.
The Trojans will practice under the lights of The Vet at 8 p.m. Thursday before returning for a 2:45 p.m. practice Friday. The first “Moving Day” of fall camp will follow on Saturday as the Trojans will have their first true scrimmage of camp. Immediately following the scrimmage, players and coaches will participate in Troy’s annual Media Day.
Troy opens the 2016 season on Sept. 3 when it plays host to Austin Peay in the first of six home games in Veterans Memorial Stadium.
