Tuskegee Volleyballers get back to basics

TUSKEGEE, Ala. (goldentigersports.com) —  The Tuskegee University volleyball team finished up their first weekend of preseason practice with a two hour workout inside Chappie James Arena Sunday evening.

The team continued to work on basics throughout the practice, working with each other for just the second time in 24 hours. The Lady Golden Tigers worked on ball control for most of the practice, while also beginning to implement the system used by second-year head coach Melissa Robinson.

Tuskegee opens the season at home in one of two tournaments at Chappie James, hosting the Spikefest September 2 and 3. The Lady Golden Tigers open play in the tournament at 8 am on Friday, September 2.
