Tuskegee’s Radford grabs weekly SIAC honor

ATLANTA  (goldentigersports.com) — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) announced the first of several weekly volleyball awards Tuesday morning, and Tuskegee University sophomore Zahria Radford was one of the recipients.

Radford, a native of Houston (Texas), led Tuskegee in digs (65) over the weekend, finishing in double digits in each match. After posting back-to-back 15-dig matches, she finished the weekend with 18 against St. Andrews and 17 versus Talladega. Radford, a 5-6 sophomore libero from Houston, Texas recorded 11 assists, two kills, and a pair of aces.

The sophomore was the only non-Spring Hill player awarded this week as the Badgers secured the other three awards.

Tuskegee returns to action Tuesday night on the road at Shorter, before hitting the road for the first West Cluster hosted by Kentucky State this weekend.
