Troy soccer opens Sun Belt play
TROY, Ala. (troytrojans.com) – After a four-match road stretch, the Troy soccer team opens Sun Belt Conference play with a pair of games at the Troy Soccer Complex over the weekend. The Trojans host Appalachian State on Friday at 7 p.m. before taking on Arkansas State on Sunday at 1 p.m.
On Friday, both teams will wear specially designed warm-up jerseys as a part of National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month in support of Texas State head coach Kat Conner, who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last year.
The Trojans (4-4-1) were picked to finish second in the league for the second straight year. The team took No. 1 Florida State to overtime on Sunday before falling, 1-0.
