Tuskegee falls in SIAC Crossover’s final match

ALBANY, Ga. (goldentigersports.com) — Jessica Johnson led three Tuskegee University players in double digit kills in a 3-1 (23-25,21-25,25-20,19-25) loss to Albany State University at the SIAC Crossover Saturday.

Johnson led Tuskegee (5-11, 5-5 SIAC) with 13 kills on 28 attempts, finishing the match hitting .250 with four digs defensively. Shakayia Wilson added 12 kills on 20 attempts, hitting .450; while Taliyana Bryant finished with 10 kills and hit .500 for the match.

Zahria Radford finished with a team-high 11 digs, while Avery Brown finished with six digs. Johnson and Janae Graham each finished with four digs in the loss, while Graham finished with 36 assists.

Tuskegee returns to action Tuesday night on the road against SWAC-member Mississippi Valley State University. The match is scheduled to start at 7 pm in Itta Bena (Miss.).
