Golden Tigers’ regular season finale moved to Legion Field
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (goldentigersports.com) — Miles College announced that the final regular season game with Tuskegee University will be moved from their on-campus facility to Legion Field to accommodate the expected crowd.
The game will move to Legion Field on Saturday, November 5, and the kickoff time will also be adjusted for the contest. The game – originally scheduled for 2 pm – will not kick off at 5 pm and be televised by the ASPiRE Network.
The game in Tuskegee last season had a crowd of 28,765 and the current stadium – Albert J. Sloan Alumni Stadium – in Miles seats 8,500 while the capacity of Legion Field is currently at 71,594.
This game will mark the first time the two teams have met in the Legion Field since the 2009 Labor Day Golden Classic.
Advance tickets are available for purchase for $25. On the day of the game, the tickets are $30. Tickets are available through the Miles College ticket office and the Legion Field box office. Beginning October 3, fans will be able to purchase tickets online at www.milesgoldenbears.com. Fans should also be reminded that Legion Field’s Clear Bag policy will be in effect for the game.
